No-Drill

The No-Drill edit

No-drill shower caddies & bathroom shelves

Storage that goes up without a single hole. Adhesive and tension-mounted shelves, caddies, rails and hooks that hold properly on tile, glass and painted walls — and come off again when you move.

Storage that leaves the wall alone

Drilling into tile is a one-way decision. It is also, in most rentals, not yours to make. Everything in this collection mounts with adhesive pads, tension, suction or a hook over an existing fitting — and comes off again without filler or a repaint.

What actually holds, and where

Adhesive mounts need a smooth, non-porous, genuinely clean surface. That means glazed tile, glass, sealed stone and gloss-painted drywall. They will not hold on textured tile, raw grout, wallpaper or matte emulsion — no brand's will, whatever the packaging says.

The prep matters more than the product. Wipe the spot with rubbing alcohol rather than an all-purpose spray, which leaves a film. Let it dry completely. Press firmly for thirty seconds. Then leave it alone for twenty-four hours before you load it — most failures are things hung and filled the same afternoon.

Choosing by where it's going

  • Inside the shower: corner caddies and tiered racks, rated for wet use with drainage so water doesn't pool.
  • Beside the basin: shallow shelves for a soap dispenser and a razor, kept above splash height.
  • Over the sink or bath edge: hooks and rails that hang off an existing fitting, holding nothing permanently.
  • Kitchen: paper-towel holders, sponge racks and drain catchers that stick to a cabinet door or the sink wall.

Weight, honestly

Ratings in this collection run roughly 10 to 22 lb. That is bottles, cloths and a razor — not a stone soap dish, and not something you would steady yourself on. Every product page lists its own rating. Treat it as a ceiling rather than a target, and spread weight across the shelf instead of loading one end.

Taking it down

Warm the adhesive pad with a hairdryer for about a minute, then work dental floss behind it in a sawing motion until it releases. Rubbing alcohol lifts any residue. The mount is reusable; the pad generally is not, so decide on placement before you commit.

Common questions about No-Drill

Will a no-drill shelf actually hold in a shower?
Yes, on the right surface. Adhesive and tension mounts grip smooth, non-porous surfaces — glazed tile, glass, sealed stone, gloss-painted drywall. They do not hold reliably on textured tile, unsealed grout lines, wallpaper or flat matte paint. Clean the spot with rubbing alcohol, let it dry fully, press for 30 seconds, then leave it 24 hours before loading it.
How much weight can no-drill storage take?
Most adhesive shelves and caddies in this collection are rated between 10 and 22 lb. That comfortably covers shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a razor. It does not cover a full stone soap dish or anything you would lean on. Check the individual product page — the rating is listed on each.
Will it damage the wall or tile when I take it down?
That is the point of these. Adhesive mounts release with heat and patience: warm the pad with a hairdryer for a minute, then work dental floss or fishing line behind it in a sawing motion. Any residue comes off with rubbing alcohol. No holes, no filler, no repainting.
Is this suitable for a rental?
That is who most of it is made for. Nothing here needs a drill, a stud finder or a landlord conversation, and it all comes down cleanly when you move. It is also handy for tiled surfaces you would rather not drill even in a home you own.
Can I reuse the adhesive if I move it?
The mount can be reused, the adhesive pad usually cannot — once released it loses most of its grip. Several products ship with a spare pad, and replacement pads are widely available. Decide on placement before you commit.
